We often talk to business owners and entrepreneurs, and the questions they usually ask are revolving around “how to get traffic to your website fast”. While it’s perfectly understandable why people ask these questions, what we’ve found over the years is that traffic is not always the problem.
There’s never too much attention when it comes to marketing, so even the companies that already have a decent amount of traffic often want more. However, many other variables impact whether or not your website is effective.
Every organization has its definition of what is “effective” and what is “successful”, but most businesses would agree that they are living to drive revenue. And that comes down to quality traffic and how it’s going to interact with your website.
So what we mean by saying that “traffic is not your problem” is exactly that. Traffic generation is not the only job of marketing. Having more traffic for the sake of driving traffic is not going to solve anything. You have to get to the very beginning of how this traffic is finding your website.
