Their old homepage was extremely cluttered with links, a lot of flashing banners, and a moving ticker at the bottom. There is no clear direction in which the DMA wants their visitors to go. With so many options and links, it can be confusing for visitors to figure out where they will go and lead to a low click-through rate and high bounce rate.
Their new website is very clean, simple, and streamlined. There is one large slider at the top, and fewer options on where to go next it. The top navigation is simple with no drop down or additional links creating confusion. If you are looking for something specific, like news articles, there are bottoms at the bottom with nice icons.
Every page includes the simple “Join Today” button, and every inner page also includes contact information. No matter where a visitor lands, there is a distinct call to action.
A company like the DMA has a lot of potential information they want to get to their website visitors. However, they found a way to balance their content with images. Their new, simpler website will help visitors find exactly what they need to find quickly. The call to action button on every page will help convert more of their visitors to members.
